“Music for me is not just a hobby it’s a passion. Music is my freedom and an escapism when I’m going through happy and sad times. My gift is being able to tell a story, and I want to influence the world with my talent. I want to share my past experiences by relating to the audience. I love being able to come up with different ideas to challenge myself as a writer. I have admiration for a lot of artists such as Micheal Jackson, Prince, George Michael, Jody watley, pebbles, Johnny Gill, Tisha Campbell. I’m an 80’s person so… I was born in the 80’s. There are a lot more artists that I admire from other eras. although I wasn’t born in those eras I certainly know good music when I hear it. My dream goal is to write for some of those big major artists. when I was a little girl I never knew I was going to be a writer. When I was a little girl I never knew my purpose until I was 17 years old. I was raised on a lot of oldies music that both my parents listened to back in the day. I think it’s really important to know your culture and where you come from. Music started back from gossip people like Little Richard, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, MC Hammer turned gossip into r&b soul. I have a profound respect for artists that worked and struggled to work their way in the industry. Artists that truly earned their place to be called a legend. I have respect for new artists that are out today I even like the music. I have a different level of respect for those artists as well.“
